last day of term today…

and it was absolutely perfect. I genuinely love my school and the people in it so much. Although obviously there are inevitably people who I don’t get on with, it doesn’t bother me at all, I don’t care if there are some people who think I’m weird. I love my friends, I love my teachers, I just love being there because I actually feel like me. And that makes me really happy.

Edit: Just read this post and realised I sound like Harry talking about Hogwarts, hahaha. oh wellllll ~ :)

Just got back from my grandparents’ house only to find out that I’m off again tomorrow - we’re spending the weekend at a B&B near the coast, as a family. Woohoo ~

Not much to update you on. The most exciting thing that’s happen in the past couple of days is that I was boiling some milk to make custard and it like… exploded. Okay, slight exaggeration. It more… erupted. The lid flew off the milk got EVERYWHERE. Embarrassing. My grandma now thinks I’m extremely incompetent in the kitchen… which is true. And slightly depressing.

I’ve been reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in French - it’s called Harry Potter A L’Ecole Des Sorciers. Not quite sure why they changed it but I’m about a third of the way through. I was pretty shocked to find out that Hogwarts has been changed to Poudlard… there are a number of funny changes actually. Snape, for example, is called Rogue. However, one thing I was pretty impressed with was the Sorting Hat’s name. Le Choixpeau. Brilliant. Egalement -

I finished A Year In The Merde… a very funny book, but much more… how do I put this… raunchy, then I had anticipated :P still, it’s well worth a read. And I now know not to cut up lettuce on my plate with a knife but rather to tear it with my fingers… (can anyone French confirm this please, by the way?) and to ask for ‘un crème’ if I wanted a normal sized coffee without getting ripped off. I just want to go to Paris so badly! I’m going to write up a review later :)

Right well I best be off to pack my bags for tomorrow. Here’s a song my friend sent me, I’ve had it on replay for about half an hour now, it’s beautiful <3
